Danilo Lima is a filmmaker born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and based in Brooklyn, NY.

He holds a B.A. from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, Sao Paulo. In 2009, he specialised in Multimedia by the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and in 2013 he complemented his studies in cinematography at New York University and School of Visual Arts. 
Danilo worked in several production companies and ad agencies in Brazil, and currently works as a freelancer.  Over the years he has shot and edited commercials, web videos, short documentaries and TV content.
He is  currently directing a feature length documentary named "Black Booth". The project, winner of the 2013 AbelCine Documentary Grant, is supported by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Film Forum, Museum of the Moving Image, among other prestigious institutions.
